Funds 4R Future: This is our annual pledge drive that raises funds for our supplemental educational programs. We need help in speaking to parents, communicating with our donors, coordinating incentives, and getting the word out about the campaign.
Corporate Sponsorship: We need help in forging relationships with local and national businesses that would like to partner with our school. We will need help in grant-writing and securing donations from our business partners.
Family Fun Day/Camp Castlebay: These are our big annual, fun events that takes place in April (Family Fun Day) and June (Camp Castlebay). We need help planning and executing the entire event, securing volunteers, shopping for items, securing vendors, and communicating with our school community.
Silent Auctions: For 2018-19, we will be holding TWO silent auction events! The first one will be at the Sweetheart Dance in February 2019. This will a class basket auction and teacher raffle. We will need help in coordinating with Room Parents gift baskets filled with goodies that we will auction at our event. We will also need help logging in items, budget keeping, basket wrapping, making tags, generating bid sheets, and monitoring the actual action event. You will also work on the teacher raffle, working with our teachers to see what they would like to offer (lunch date, movie date, etc.), sell raffle tickets and work the event. The second auction will be held at our Family Fun Day event. This will be a bigger event, with big ticket auction items. You will be helping us solicit donations from companies, keeping a database of items, basket wrapping, making tags, and generating bid sheets. It is a lot of work but super fun!
Events Planning for Supplemental Fundraisers: We will have other events on our 2018-19 calendar that serve as fundraising events (with an emphasis on FUN!). These events include the Sweetheart Dance, Spirit Wear sales and Milk Jug/Penny Wars. For the Sweetheart Dance we will need help securing decorations, food and entertainment. We will need your creative touch in making the Sweetheart Dance an unforgettable event for our families. For Spirit Wear sales, we will need help in selling our Castlebay tshirts and other paraphernalia. For the Milk Jug/Penny Wars event, we will be asking the students to donate their loose change into cutely decorated milk jugs. We will need help in getting the word out, securing milk jugs and decorating them.
Hospitality: These are events that are not meant as fundraisers but they create an inviting and welcoming environment at our school. Hospitality events are the Teachers’ Breakfast, Welcome Back Picnic, Teachers & Staff Holiday luncheon, Teacher/Staff Appreciation Luncheon. We will need help getting food, coordinating volunteers and decorating.
Safety: We need help in making our school a safer place for our children. This includes creating a better traffic flow in the car line. You will also be helping other parents adhere to our traffic guidelines. Safety is also in charge of the emergency backpacks in all the classrooms. These need to be checked on a regular basis.
Room Parent: This position is a limited-availability type of position. We are looking for Room Parents that not only help within their child’s classroom but will also be the liaison between PATH and the other class parents. The Room Parent will be obligated in communicating all PATH events, fundraising activities and announcements to the other parents. The Room Parent is expected to participate, in some capacity, in our events. This is an important position as you will be the representative of both PATH and the parents.
5th Grade: You will help in the planning and execution in all the 5th Grade events with the 5th Grade Coordinators and 5th Grade teachers. Your child does not have to be in 5th Grade for you to volunteer for this committee.
Marketing: We need creative people to help design banners, flyers, brochures, and produce videos. We need photographers and artists, musicians and visual technicians. We also need people to help post on social media. We need you to get the word out on all our events and fundraising campaigns in clever and out-of-the-box ways. We also need help securing new production vendors in our ever-growing list of resources.
Volunteer Support Committee: Do you just want to be the person we can call at anytime to help us out? We need a dedicated group of people we can call on for extra set of hands for events, manning tables, etc. Also, will help with our instructors, like Miss Han-na with her art projects.
